‘House Party’ Podcast: Are Pools the Same as Baths? Plus, Kanye’s ‘Star Wars’-Themed Housing

“House Party” is realtor.com’s official podcast about the overlapping worlds of real estate and pop culture, hosted by Natalie Way, Erik Gunther, and Rachel Stults. Click the player above to hear our takes on this week’s hot topics.

We’re back after another brief hiatus! Sorry about that—it’s summer, so can you really blame us if margaritas and swimming > podcasting?

No, no, you can’t. But at least we’re not part of the 51% of Americans who think swimming > showering/bathing. That’s right. That’s a real statistic from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At least half of you think taking a dip in a chlorinated pool suffices as your daily hygiene regimen. We have some strong feelings (and Erik even knows someone who lives this life).

Next, Channing Tatum has a squatter problem. (It wasn’t Rachel—we swear.)

Then, Kanye West has some aggressive plans to solve the affordable housing problem, and it all starts with “Star Wars.” Is the force strong with this one, or is this just Kanye being Kanye?

Finally, you have to see our newest most expensive listing to believe it. And of course, we’ve got the week’s celebrity real estate winners and losers. Our winner is hoping to walk away from his Miami party penthouse within seven days. And “we don’t know” our loser. Literally—Rachel doesn’t know her.

So what are you waiting for? Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. And please: Throw us a five-star rating if you like what you hear. The more good ratings and reviews we have, the easier it’ll be for people to find us.

Want to chime in? Have your own crazy home-related story you’re dying to share? We’re all ears, eagerly waiting to discuss all your burning real estate questions. Email us at podcast@realtor.com, or tweet us @housepartypod on Twitter.
