‘House Party’ Podcast: You’ll Never Believe This Was Elizabeth Holmes’ Home; a Hallmark Movie Challenge Goes Haywire

“House Party” is realtor.com’s official podcast about the overlapping worlds of real estate and pop culture, hosted by Natalie Way, Erik Gunther, and Rachel Stults. Click the player above to hear our takes on this week’s hot topics.

We’ve talked about some strange stuff on this podcast: From a home sold by a Grinch to the real estate agent who marketed the heck out of a BDSM basement in a suburban Philadelphia home, we thank you, real estate, for keeping us on our toes! The latest in weird shenanigans: a pregnant lady in a bikini not-so-surreptitiously posed in a New York home for sale.

Don’t worry, guys. It’s just a sculpture. But it definitely had us asking all the questions.

Then, we’ve got an inside peek at the former apartment of Elizabeth Holmes—you know, of Theranos/blood-testing infamy. For a Silicon Valley disrupter, the place sure is shockingly modest. Tune in to hear more about it—and to hear our hilariously accurate (we think) impressions of the disgraced former CEO.

It might be May, but we’re already getting in the holiday spirit. Our jolly feelings are aided, of course, by the recent listing of a bed-and-breakfast featured in the 2008 Hallmark movie “Moonlight and Mistletoe.” Join us as we take a look at the real-life movie set you can own, and as we play a thrilling Hallmark Movie trivia game. Spoiler: Erik says he doesn’t watch Hallmark movies, but his archive of knowledge says otherwise.

And, as always, we’ve got the week’s real estate winners and losers. Our loser needs some love for his NYC apartment, while our winner is hoping to get some bang for her buck when she sells.

So what are you waiting for? Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. And please: Throw us a five-star rating if you like what you hear. The more good ratings and reviews we have, the easier it’ll be for people to find us.

Want to chime in? Have your own crazy home-related story you’re dying to share? We’re all ears, eagerly waiting to discuss all your burning real estate questions. Email us at podcast@realtor.com, or tweet us @housepartypod on Twitter.
