‘House Party’ Podcast: The Hottest Housing Markets, AOC’s Garbage Disposal Drama

“House Party” is realtor.com’s official podcast about the overlapping worlds of real estate and pop culture, hosted by Natalie Way, Erik Gunther, and Rachel Stults. Click the player above to hear our takes on this week’s hot topics.

From an update on the most desirable housing markets in the country to yet another installment of #DuggarWatch, this week’s episode of “House Party” is not to be missed.

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to Instagram last week to ask why her garbage disposal is yelling at her. Why exactly was she so confused about this fairly standard household appliance? We get into it all.

We also take a look at the most desirable housing markets in the country right now, based on realtor.com’s April data. While West Coast metros have dominated the lists lately, we were actually surprised by the locales that made it to the top this time around.

And one of our favorite TV homes, the “Full House” house, is back in the news again. With a complete interior face-lift, the San Francisco mansion officially hit the market. And while the owner of the home, “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin, flirted with the idea of renovating the house to look like the Tanner family’s ’90s abode, the listing photos show he went in a totally different direction. Do we love it or hate it? You’ll have to listen to find out!

Plus, we take a look at a Hawaiian beach house designed by none other than music icon Cher. Yes, that Cher.

And, as always, we’ve got the week’s real estate winners and losers. Our loser is a Hollywood A-lister who knows a thing or two about striking a “Pose,” while our winner’s Arkansas home could easily fit his very large family.

So what are you waiting for? Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. And please: Throw us a five-star rating if you like what you hear. The more good ratings and reviews we have, the easier it’ll be for people to find us.

Want to chime in? Have your own crazy home-related story you’re dying to share? We’re all ears, eagerly waiting to discuss all your burning real estate questions. Email us at podcast@realtor.com, or tweet us @housepartypod on Twitter.
