Not every tenant can say that their landlord has the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Then again, not every tenant is renting from Dame Helen Mirren.

The Academy Award-winning actress, who received her damehood from England’s Queen Elizabeth in 2003, is once again leasing out her estate in the Hollywood Hills. Mirren and her husband, Taylor Hackford, purchased the Mediterranean spread back in 1986 and have rented out the property since 2007. They are now on the lookout for their next tenant after listing the property for $40,000 a month.

Built in 1911, the double-gated home is set on a secluded six-acre parcel just above the Hollywood Walk of Fame, about a mile from the Dolby Theatre where the Academy Awards are held each year. Inside, an open and airy floor plan contains five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, including a master suite that looks out over Los Angeles. The premises also contains multiple terraces, a pool and a 2,700-square-foot guest cottage.

Mirren was turning heads at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills over the weekend, where she was up for an award for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for her work in Phil Spector. The award ultimately went to Elisabeth Moss for her role in Top of the Lake.

Ben Mason of Coldwell Banker has the listing.
