‘House Party’ Podcast: Home Buying and Selling During a Pandemic; the Duggars’ Odd Arkansas Home Finally Finds a Buyer

“House Party” is realtor.com®’s official podcast about the overlapping worlds of real estate and pop culture, hosted by Natalie Way, Erik Gunther, and Rachel Stults. Click the player above to hear our takes on this week’s hot topics.

Real estate is a total contact sport—shaking hands, touching things in other people’s houses, signing documents, and so on and so forth. So we couldn’t help but wonder how the home buying and selling process is changing now that the entire nation is practicing social distancing. After all, some people still need to buy or sell their homes—and the real estate market can’t come to a screeching halt while we figure out this coronavirus thing.

So to get the scoop, we were joined this week by Mariana Pappalardo, a Realtor® with Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as our fellow editor at realtor.com, Judy Dutton. We discuss how people are getting creative in our rapidly changing real estate climate.

But then, of course, we lighten things up!

Other topics we cover:

  • Duggar Watch: Jim Bob and Michelle Finally Flip Arkansas Mansion
  • Why Did It Take So Long To Sell Adam Lambert’s Swanky Bachelor Pad?
  • Why Hasn’t Rick Pitino Sold His Florida Mansion? 3 Points To Ponder
  • Melissa McCarthy Snags Brand-New Home in San Fernando Valley for $2.4M

Ready to listen? Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. And please: Throw us a five-star rating if you like what you hear. The more good ratings and reviews we have, the easier it is for people to find us.
